Most men have no interest in charting fertility in the female body. It is a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ scenario in which the man does not want to know the intimate details. But for a woman, it is very important to know what goes on within her body each month. It can help illuminate any fertility issues that may arise and keep the doctor informed of any irregularities.

There are three things that play into charting fertility. Estrogen, progesterone and the position of the uterus all three must come together at the right time in order for ovulation to occur and the sperm reach its intended destination, the egg. Estrogen is a naturally occurring hormone found in all human bodies. Women have higher concentrations of estrogen. It is this hormone that causes breast development and a girl to begin her journey into puberty and have the ability to procreate.

Charting fertility begins with knowing how estrogen affects a woman’s body. It causes the follicles at the end of the Fallopian tubes for the release of the egg from the ovary. It also prepares the mucus lining the uterus in preparation for the implantation of the egg and sperm when they come together. A woman watches the difference in her discharge each day. As the estrogen increases so does the discharge. It is important when charting fertility to pay attention to these subtle changes in texture.

Progesterone follows a predictable pattern as well and is the hormone directly responsible for thickening the uterus wall to be able to withstand the implantation and growth of the fetus. The third change occurring each month is the position of the cervix along with its softness. Fertility charting involves noting the actual position of the cervix. When ovulation occurs the cervix is soft and higher than at other times of the month.

Besides making a notation regarding discharge and cervix positioning, a line for the LH hormone is needed. Ovulation kits can help detect the levels of LH and let a woman know when her egg has been released. When the hormone hits a peak, ovulation is about to occur. She makes a notation and can then have a general idea for future months by charting fertility within her body.

Different colored lines, notations, kits and temperatures are all part of the process of charting fertility. It can seem time consuming and complicated but once a predictable pattern is set, the woman has a greater understanding of her body and when the best time for fertility is. When all else fails, a doctor can run a series of tests on the couple to determine if there is another problem hindering their ability to become pregnant.

There are many decisions that must be made when deciding to undertake infertility treatments in order to have a child. The number of infertility clinics found throughout the world is growing in number so it is important to understand what is involved in the fertility treatment process. Even if you think you know the exact clinic you wish to use, it still pays to do a little research before totally committing.

Infertility clinics can be found throughout Singapore and around the world. Most have a pretty good percentage of term pregnancies. When it comes down to picking amongst all of the infertility clinics operating there are a few things to keep in mind. These clinics and their operating procedures are public knowledge and should be on record with their respective Department of Health. Many insurance companies also can give detailed information on any health violations or problems they have had with the particular infertility clinics.

The whole goal of picking between any of the better infertility clinics is finding one that makes a couple feel like they are worth the effort. Often couples are treated more like just files and dollar signs than as struggling would-be parents desperately seeking to have a child of their own. Infertility clinics want to stay abreast of the latest medical procedures and techniques. This allows them to offer their patients the best possible care. From fertility drugs to invasive procedures, the best infertility clinics seek out cutting edge technology.

There are some less positive things to keep in mind when dealing with infertility clinics. Most total plans for conception are not covered completely by a healthcare plan. A fertility treatment plan is sometimes a long procedure that can cost thousands of dollars. Besides the monetary costs, infertility clinics often have treatments that are quite time consuming. Careful thought must be given when considering using any fertility treatment plan. The treatments used at infertility clinics are not the same as charting a basal temperature for several months. They can involve hormone treatments, egg harvesting, invitro fertilization, or many other medical procedures that may not be expected.

Infertility clinics are businesses and as such they must take an active interest in their customers. This is an important decision and one that must thoroughly consider. If the doctor or staff seem too busy to address any questions or concerns: walk out and go to another clinic. This is more than being just a file or a chart. It is a life altering decision in which the doctor will play an important role.

For some individuals the need to have a baby is almost frantic. Life is slowly creeping by and each year brings another round of fruitless attempts to become pregnant. Infertility clinics have stepped in to help would-be parents attain their goal of becoming pregnant and having a family of their own. No one every said it would be easy but the good things in life seldom are.

Couples who are unable to reproduce often attribute their problem to infertility issues. On the positive side, only about 10% of eligible couples suffer from issues relating to infertility that have hindered their option to conceive. These couples can often solve their problem through simple methods. On the other hand, some couples have infertility issues that cannot be fixed with any current methods.

Couples who are trying to conceive a child often experience infertility problems. With technology, there is a variety of treatments available to help couples get pregnant. You might also experience periods of infertility due to some personal habits. For instance, females who have recently stopped taking oral contraceptives will often experience a time of infertility. Your weight might also be a factor. If you are overweight or underweight, you might also experience infertility until you reach a certain weight. Fortunately, causes of infertility can often be attributed to one of these simple factors.

Contrary to what many people believe, infertility causes are equally shared by both males and females. According to studies, approximately one-third of men in a relationship contribute to the infertility causes of a couple. Equally, approximately one-third of women in a relationship have infertility issues which results in problems with conception. The remaining percentage of infertility issues are either a combination of both parties having a problem or a result of unexplainable fertility causes.

One of the most common reasons for female infertility is a result of some type of ovulation disorder or blocked fallopian tubes. With some infertility disorders, an egg traveling through the fallopian tube gets stopped by either a cyst or some other growth in the area. Sperm can often reach the egg in the fallopian tube, but it cannot continue the process of fertilization until it reaches the uterus. This causes a problem in terms of conceiving. Other problems, such as

Male infertility causes are often a result of the sperm’s temperature. If a man wears underwear that is either too constrictive or too loose, the temperature in his reproductive system is not ideal for sperm production. As a result, sperm production is often reduced a great deal which hinders fertility after intercourse. Oftentimes, a male’s diet can even cause infertility. Toxins and chemicals in certain foods can restrict sperm production and the strength of the sperm so that they are unable to properly fertilize an ovum. Many times, this can easily be solved. Other times, the male might have to undergo more drastic infertility treatments to help increase sperm production and versatility.

Current infertility treatments have been a great way to help couples overcome their infertility issues. With many of these treatments being simple changes to one’s behavior, couples can increase their chances for conception with just a few minor corrections. More serious infertility issues might have to be dealt with through other methods, including surgery. Unfortunately, a small percentage of couples cannot benefit from any method because of very serious reproductive problems.

A fertility drug may be the answer if a couple is having a difficult time trying to become pregnant. Medical science has made great leaps in research to help infertility stricken couples have a child. It can make all the difference in the world to a couple trying to have a family.

Infertility is diagnosed when, under conventional methods, a woman and man are unable to conceive naturally. Naturally referring to not using a fertility drug or undergoing a medical procedure to inseminate an egg or implant an embryo. A fertility drug can help the body with its hormone levels.

The fertility drug clomiphene works by lowering the presence of estrogen in a woman’s body. If there is too much estrogen present, the egg may not be released. A fertility drug that works to suppress estrogen causes more follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) to be produced. When FSH is produced in abundance the woman’s body begins to ovulate more. Ovulation is when the ovary produces an egg. With more eggs being produced there is a higher chance of conception.

An infertility treatment that includes a fertility drug regimen is not without its risks though. Recent studies have shown that there may be a link to fertility drugs and ovarian cancer to the over-stimulation of the ovary. The facts are not conclusive to this yet and there will be many more studies needed in order to determine whether or not this is fact or fiction.

If the fertility drug clomiphene does not work, many doctors will turn to gonadotropins. It acts in a similar manner as clomiphene by causing the ovaries to produce more eggs. This fertility drug is used many times when the causes of infertility are not known. It can even be prescribed to help men with low sperm count. The very thing that helps a fertility drug work can also be used as an argument against the use of medications to help conception. The more eggs that are produced: the greater chance for multiple births.

Most women, towards the end of their pregnancy, swear that they must be having more than one. They feel uncomfortable, huge and are convinced the doctor must have overlooked a second or third baby wedged into their body. Most of the time, it is a typical pregnancy with one child coming out after nine long months. But if the mother took a fertility drug, one baby may be accompanied by three or four more.

The options available to treat infertility are growing more by the day. New studies and research are helping couples everywhere have the opportunity to have a baby. As long as there is a medical procedure there will be the hope to have a child. A fertility drug may or may not work in every case but for those it does help; it can change their lives forever.

In recent years infertility treatments have come under the spotlight. It is not because they help a couple have a child but rather the age the woman reproduces and how many children can be conceived using infertility treatments. A few years back a woman named Adriana Iliescu gave birth to a little girl in Hungary. Normally a woman giving birth would not make world wide news. Adriana’s birth was different. She became the official record holder of the world’s oldest female to give birth. She was sixty-six years of age.

One of the chief complaints regarding Adriana and her infertility treatments was that she was too old to produce her own eggs. Critics raged that biology had proved its natural selection process by stopping her monthly cycle. Some infertility clinics have an age limit in which they will work with but there are some that will undertake a client no matter the age.

Once a woman reaches menopause her body no longer undergoes ovulation (when an egg is released from the ovary) and has reached the age when Mother Nature has deemed the woman past child bearing age. The debate over the age where limits should be imposed for infertility treatments is a very hot topic. It is acceptable for a man to have children well into his nineties but should a woman be refused fertility treatments if she is past a certain age?

Fertility rates go up dramatically when drugs or treatments are used. Along with this increase in rates of fertility also rises the number of children born in one gestation cycle. Infertility treatments have brought about a great number of multiple births. It is not uncommon to hear of twins, triplets or even quadruplets being born. The highest number of fetuses recorded has been fifteen but the highest number born and surviving more than a few days has been octuplets (that is eight babies). Imagine the amounts of formula, diapers and bottles eight babies require.

Infertility clinics are well aware of the controversies raging regarding the age of the mother-to-be as well as the responsibilities of multiple births. Some groups maintain that many of these parents of multiples assume that the government or organizations will step in to help with the financial burden that multiple children can bring about. Maybe they hope that there will be some sort of contribution on behalf of corporations or perhaps even a television show detailing their lives.

Infertility treatments are up to each individual. Some treatment plans work where others do not. None of the options are without expenses so careful consideration and financial planning must be accounted for. As with any medical treatment plan there are risks and it bears paying attention to the possibility of getting more than one mouth to feed at a time.

Fertility problems can often arise without warning. It may be from a physical issue or a disease. The reasons for infertility are many but many men find themselves unable to come to terms with their inability to procreate. Psychologists believe it goes back to the Alpha tendencies of our ancestors. Only the fittest and strongest were allowed to pass on their genetic material for the next generation.
The male figure in history was supposed to be the provider and ensure the legacy of his genes. It might be a better example to use the animal kingdom and wolf packs in particular. The Alpha male is the strongest male in the pack. It is his genes that are passed onto the next generation along with the Alpha females. If there are fertility problems then one or both are replaced as the pack leaders.

The pack days of the past are gone and the absolute power of the Alpha male has changed. No longer do men have to hide the shame of fertility problems. There are treatment options available to help. It does not mean hiding in the shadows but instead seeking out answers to questions that were for so long deemed shameful. Men have the right to be happy and raise offspring just as much as women do.

If a couple finds themselves facing difficulty getting pregnant there are avenues to turn to for help. The first is to have a complete physical done for both the male and female. The doctor will get a detailed medical history and perform a few routine tests. One of these is to test for any sexually transmitted diseases. Sexually transmitted diseases account for more instances of fertility problems and issues than any other. Many diseases such as Chlamydia or Gonorrhea if left untreated too long can have disastrous consequences for the reproductive system.

The next step in infertility treatments is to find out what the male sperm count is. The odds go down considerably for conception the lower the sperm count. Sperm motility is also a huge factor in conception. The gynecologist will also do a complete diagnostic on the woman’s reproductive system to ensure that her fallopian tubes and ovaries are working correctly. Endometriosis, a disease where tissue grows rampant from the uterus and can cause infertility, is also looked for.

Fertility problems can strike without warning. It can affect both the man and the woman so it is essential for the physician to thoroughly examine all the tests before making a definite conclusion as to why the couple is having difficulty conceiving. At one time there was nothing a couple could do if they could not conceive a child but now there are a wide range of options to help a couple have a family.

Approximately one-third of all infertility cases can be attributed to female infertility issues. Whether it is a genetic inheritance or a traumatic event in one’s life, this can cause a great deal of stress and pain for a couple who is trying to conceive. In most cases, this problem can be overcome through the help of infertility clinics. With the correct information, couples can root out the causes of infertility in their particular cases and often can take measures to overcome the problem.

Finding the right source for infertility information is the best way to help you determine what is causing your infertility issues. Both males and females are susceptible, and treatments exist to help overcome problems for both. Consulting a fertility specialist is the ideal way to diagnose your infertility problems. Infertility clinics often give low-income families and individuals services with various payment arrangements. Non-profit organizations also have grants and loans available to young couples who are trying to get pregnant. Infertility clinics are also good sources in helping you determine why you are experiencing infertility problems.

Female infertility can be attributed to several things that can be corrected through changing certain behaviors. Oftentimes, the reason for female infertility problems is due to smoking or drinking. While these factors are not major causes of infertility, they can often impair the chances for a woman to properly fertilize an ovum in her reproductive system. Caffeine also contributes to this problem as well as weight. Overweight as well as underweight women often suffer from female infertility. Although none of these factors are the sole reason for female infertility, changing these habits will often contribute to an increased chance for conception.

After finding the causes of infertility in your situation, contact your insurance company to find out if they cover procedures to help overcome infertility. Some insurance companies view pregnancy as unnecessary and, as a result, will not offer coverage for female infertility treatments. If your insurance company does not offer benefits for female infertility, you still have other options available to you. Some institutions offer grants and loans to people who are trying to conceive but have infertility issues. Other non-profit organizations specialize in helping couples through free in vitro fertilization to help them achieve conception without breaking their budgets.

Female infertility can be damaging to a couple’s psychological well-being. Fortunately, the causes of infertility are often due to something minor that can quickly be changed. For more serious infertility issues, infertility clinics and specialists have a variety of treatments that are sure to increase your chances of getting pregnant. With the correct infertility information and a reputable infertility clinic that offers discount treatments, you can be assured that you can have a better chance of starting a family.

It can cause great distress between the couple and can impact their relationship if one does not take it as seriously as the other. The reasons for infertility can be many but there are things that can be done to help conception along.

An infertility treatment begins when a couple has tried unsuccessfully for more than a year to conceive a child. The first course of action for a physician to prescribe is a series of physical tests in order to determine which of the couple is infertile. Male infertility has a rate of 50% so it is an equal game in that regard. Male infertility can be caused by a number of things most of which are physical. In all cases it involves the sperm. The sperm is an absolute vital part of reproduction. Without those tiny swimmers conception would never occur so it is the first thing a doctor will look at when trying to diagnose a cause for male infertility.

Male infertility can be caused by illness, a physical injury to the scrotum or testes, or even a hormone deficiency not causing adequate sperm generation. Besides a physical examination, the doctor will also look at any history of reproductive problems. Following the physical portion, a semen analysis and complete blood work will be ordered. The semen analysis will determine if the male infertility is a result of low sperm count. The lower the count the less likely a sperm will find its way to the egg and conception will occur.

The pituitary gland is responsible for a variety of hormones. It is also the beginning home of semen. It along with the prostate gland is instrumental in achieving fertilization of the egg released by the woman’s ovary. Male infertility can often be attributed to this process if there are not enough viable and motive spermatozoa.

There is a wide array of treatment options available for male infertility. These could range from altering restrictive clothing around the scrotum and testes, to taking fertility drugs such as clomiphene in order to increase hormone levels. If the problem is a physical deformity such as in the veins present in the scrotum, then surgery could be an answer. By dilating the veins it helps the sperm move more readily through on their way to the egg.

Male infertility, while sometimes damaging to the male psychological perspective, can be overcome. Accepting that there are fertility issues is a huge first step on the road to achieving the goal of becoming pregnant. It is extremely important for both partners to be supportive of the other in this time of need. There will be issues but each can be dealt with. Besides male infertility, there are female infertility issues to deal with too.
